From construction site to leafy retreat
Garden design, planting and ongoing care
There has been so much thought and experience put into our garden, and it has really paid off. When we started, the garden was literally a construction site: uneven ground, rubble, and loads of weeds.
I originally opened a garden design book and selected something that felt like a wonderful oasis to be in, despite being a small and enclosed space. Jane took the time to understand what I liked and the vibe I was going for, based on our conversations and the photos I showed her.
Jane has completely transformed it completely, from the initial garden design right through to planting and ongoing care. As an artist myself, I really appreciate the thought she puts into colour, structure, and composition. Her knowledge of plants has been invaluable, not simply choosing plants that look beautiful together, but understanding which plants will work in the conditions and where each will flourish best, and how the planting will develop and work together as the garden matures.
Jane is responsive and proactive and really cares about the work she's doing. She sourced landscapers and plants, helped with the planting, and has continued to come back and see how everything has developed.
I had very little garden knowledge when we started, and with Jane's help, I have learned how to plant, feed, and prune the garden too.
A year later, the garden is flourishing. We spend a huge amount of time outside now, and with all the blooms, birds, and insects the garden attracts, there is something magical and different to see every day. We love our little oasis.

From overwhelming to enjoyable
Front garden reset & planting advice
I sought Jane's expertise to help me with my front garden. It was so overgrown and overwhelming, I didn't even know where to start.
In just two days, Jane transformed it into a neat, pretty and manageable space and even created space to plant some flowers outside that I'd be able to see from the window.
She's so knowledgeable about plants, especially as the front garden is so hot and windy. She's made amazing recommendations. It feels like a partnership working out next steps, and I'm so excited.
It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and arriving at the front of the house now brings so much joy rather than dread. Highly recommend Daisy and Plum and will definitely be continuing to seek her help and expertise again.

Garden redesign
I love gardens, but I am not a gardener, so when my huge, beautiful, old weeping willow keeled over, taking the whole garden with it, I realised that my one-third-acre plot would need to be completely renovated, but I had no idea how to go about it. Then Jane at Daisy and Plum became involved, and the whole situation changed.

A garden in safe hands
Ongoing garden & plant care
I have age-related mobility problems, so gardening is difficult for me. But since Jane of Daisy and Plum took over, the situation has changed completely. Over the past six years, she's gradually brought everything back under control, taking care of the pruning, cutting back, feeding and general care of the plants, as well as completely replanting my front courtyard garden. I now have the security of knowing that things like pruning the roses will happen automatically at the right time when the season requires it.
Jane is extremely knowledgeable about plants, and I can relax knowing my garden will be properly cared for.

Jane recently spent a day helping me weed and tidy up my garden, and I was really pleased with the results. She worked hard all day, was thorough and took great care over everything she did. The garden looked so much tidier afterwards.
